

He was a retired truck driver for Summers Taylor Paving Co.
Mr. Taylor attended Hardins Chapel Church and was a member of the Ruritan.
His friends and co-workers will remember him as the “Little Grasshopper” who kept the cleanest
vehicles. He enjoyed taking his red and white 1955 Chevy to car shows and watching Nascar
races.
Survivors include his wife of 26 years: Ruby Vestal Taylor; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Elvis and Pat Taylor of Chuckey, Ronnie Taylor of Parrotsville; three daughters and sons-in-law: Vickie and Mitch Lawhern, Lisa and Randy Bailey, all of Limestone; Twana and Randy Summie of Sulphur Springs; two stepsons and spouses: Roger and Tammy Babb of Afton, Clay and Judy Babb of Greeneville; two stepdaughters: Judy Smith of Mosheim, Evelyn and Leroy Jent, of Jonesborough; grandsons: Chad Bolton, Jason Bolton, Shaun David Bolton, James Taylor, Daniel Morrison and Maverick Summie;
granddaughters: Sunnie Edwards, Amy Lewis, Sandy Bolton, Charylene Brooks, Rachel Ritchea and Kristie Bolton;
step grandsons: John Babb, Dylan Babb, Dustin Babb, Rusty Babb, Clayton Babb, Chad Smith, Brad Smith, Eric Lawhern, Randy Summie II, Johnathan Summie and Jason Spoon; 24 great grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Brenda and Buzz Milligan of Greeneville, Shirley and Lee Starnes of Georgia; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Jim Taylor, Bill and Brenda Taylor, all of Chuckey; special friends: Denton Key and Cleatus Key.
He was the son of the late Richard and Mary Ruth Taylor and was preceded in death by a
grandson, Robert Johnson; his brother, Junior Taylor; a sister, Marlene Taylor.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. John Reed
officiating. Interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Employees of Summers Taylor Paving Co. will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
