

Carolyn was a devoted employee of Greeneville Internal Medicine Group of 26 years, until her health required her retirement in 2008. She enjoyed the people she worked with and the patients she dealt with.
She was a devoted wife and mother. Carolyn was a kind and gentle woman that loved her family
and friends greatly.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years: Robert Walker, Sr.; a son: Robert “Bobby” Walker, Jr. of Knoxville; a daughter and son-in-law: Kim and Harold Benfield of Lincolnton, North Carolina; her father: Edward Gosnell of Greeneville; brother and sister-in-law: Charles and Susan Gosnell of Johnson City; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Broyles Gosnell; her grandparents, Paul and
Milum Gentry Gosnell and Fred C. and Ina Walters Broyles.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Homer Roller and Rev. Sam Smith will officiate. Interment will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Alan Carter, Bart Reviere, Bob Gay, John Walker, Daniel Williams, and John Love.
The doctors and staff of Greeneville Internal Medicine Group will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Her family would like to express their gratitude to all those who have aided her with her long
battle with MS. They especially want to recognize the doctors and staff of the Wound Center at
Takoma Regional Hospital, the nurses and staff of Laughlin Memorial Hospital, the staff of
Smokey Mountain Home Health, the nurses and staff of the 3rd floor at Mercy West Hospital in
Knoxville, and the staff of Laughlin Health Care Center. They would especially like to thank a
very special group of doctors, nurses, and staff of Greeneville Internal Medicine Group. They
have battled along with us for many years, not only becoming friends, but part of our family.
God bless and keep you all, for God has blessed us by making you a part of our lives.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser Rose-Hill
