Charlie Denton Key

He was a farmer and a member of Bibles Chapel Baptist Church.

He was a loving father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family, playing a good game of Rook and making homemade banana ice cream.

He enjoyed working on his farm as long as his health permitted.

Survivors include his children and spouses: Patsy and Ray Wilson of Midway, Wanda and Donald Foulks of Greeneville, Kyle Key of Mohawk, and Kathy and David Solomon and Gary and LaVonna Key of Midway; grandchildren: Stacy and Amy Key, Sherrie Davis, Bradley and Christy Key, Jacklyn and Michael Park, Matthew and Tonia Solomon, Crystal and Jeremiah Daniels, Ashley Key, Amanda and Derek Killion, Hannah Solomon, Alex Key; great grandchildren: Sierra and Charity Key, Cody and Sydney Davis, Cameron and Caleb Key, Ava Park, Hailey and Morgan Solomon, Colt and Kylee Daniels, Lexi Hensley, Addi Kate and Grey Killion, and Briley Alley; brother and sister-in-law: Cledus and Lucille Key; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Kathleen Key, Nell Ramsey, J.R. Miser, Willard Miser, Doretta Seay, Louise Harris, and Doris Metcalf; special caregiver and great granddaughter: Charity Key; special friend: Vickie Carter; and special friends and neighbors: Jerry Gardner, Gary Gass, and Paul Evans.

He was the son of the late Henry and Bertie Key and was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Key; and a granddaughter: Katie Key.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 in Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel With Rev. Donnie Bible officiating.

Entombment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Mausoleum.

His pallbearers will be his grandsons: Stacy Key, Bradley Key, Michael Park, Matthew Solomon, Jeremiah Daniels, and Derek Killion.
