Charlotte Ruth Metcalf

She was disabled.

Ms. Metcalf was a member of Old Tabernacle Church of God on Newport Highway.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: James and Marie Metcalf; daughter and son-in-law: Angela and Jason Taylor; sister: Louise Ricker; brother: Kenneth Metcalf; grandchildren: Roger Metcalf Jr., Travis Metcalf, Daniel Metcalf, Holden Metcalf, Brandon Metcalf, Dennis Metcalf, Miranda Metcalf, Chelsea Metcalf, Allison Bradshaw, Ivy Berryhill, Justin Taylor, Mackenzie Taylor; great grandchildren: Amber Metcalf, Kylee Metcalf, Addie Metcalf, Axyl Metcalf, Tegan Hester, Chloe Berryhill, Raygan, Bryelynn, and Khloe Taylor; several nieces and nephews, including special nieces and nephew: Bridgette and Ross Metcalf, Heather and Christy Cutshall, Lori Cutshall, Clyde, Tina, and Ruth Mae Kimery, Mary Looney, Jackie and Millie Seaton, Basetine, and special niece Bobby Landers; and special friends: Ray and Mary Metcalf, Leona Landers and family, Tiffany Metcalf, Karen and Rex Smith, Linda Massey, Janice Carpenter, Mary Seaton, and many more too numerous to mention.

She was preceded in death by a son: Roger Metcalf Sr.; her former husband, Henry “Bud” Metcalf; her mother, Vergie Metcalf Lane; her father, Clyde Paul Kimery; a niece, Lesa Ricker; a great granddaughter, Anna Ruth Metcalf; three brothers: Eddie Kimery, Tommy Tipton, and Charles “Joe” Landers; a niece, Flo Landers; and her in-laws: Lucy, Ralph, Bervin, Mae, Ulys, and Ethel Metcalf; and a nephew: Dale Seaton.

The family extends a special thanks to Johnny Necessary, Takoma Cardiology Providers and ICU-Med Surge, Susan Breeden, Dr. M. Davidson, and Dr. Joseph Scott.

The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm Friday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lynn Bowens officiating.

Interment will be at 10:00 am Saturday in Mt. View Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 9:00 am Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roger Metcalf Jr., Travis Metcalf, Holden Metcalf, Justin Taylor, Angela Taylor, and Daniel Metcalf.

Honorary pallbearers are Marie Metcalf and Jason Taylor.
