

He was a project engineer with Philips Electronics.
Mr. Ball was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church.
He was an honorary lifetime member of Knights of Columbus, a member of Moose Lodge since 1973, and a member of International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians.
Survivors include his children: Barry Ball of Norwalk, Connecticut, Gordon Ball and Middy Mentzer of Greensboro, North Carolina, Eileen and Jay Chalmers of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Kathleen and Ronnie Jones of Alpharetta, Georgia, Noreen and Mike Sands of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Brian Ball of Marysville, Ohio; grandchildren: Kevin Ball of Greensboro, North Carolina, Grant Chalmers of Manchester, Tennessee, Harry Chalmers of Providence, Rhode Island, Katelyn, Anastasia and Natalie Jones of Alpharetta, Georgia, Brandon Sands and Brooke Sands of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Viktor, Nikolas and Alyssa Ball of Marysville, Ohio; great grandchildren: Braden and Kason Sands, Oakley Jones, all of Knoxville, Tennessee and Kylie Ball of Greensboro, North Carolina; and many special friends.
He was the son of the late John Stanley and Pauline Katherine Robak Ball and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Ball in 1997.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 1 pm Friday, September 18, 2015, at Notre Dame Catholic Church with Father Dan Whitman officiating. A family luncheon will be held at the church Friday at 11:30 am; friends are welcome to join in.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Entombment will be at 10 am Saturday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9 am Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers/honorary pallbearers will be the Knights of Columbus.
