David Edward Carpenter passed away Saturday, December 23rd at the age of 76. He was born and raised in Casar ,NC before settling in Greeneville, TN where he met his wife and best friend: Terry Carpenter who passed away in 2007. Dave and Terry owned Four Star Auto Brokers.
Survivors include his sons: Michael Carpenter and wife Jessie of Johnson City, Wesley Carpenter and wife Kendra of Knoxville; Sister: Marsha Proctor and husband Truman of North Carolina; Sister-in-law: Kelly Clay and husband Chris of Jonesborough; Grandchildren: Easton Carpenter, Jones Conner, Caroline Carpenter and Sylvie Carpenter.
David was preceded in death by his loving wife, Terry Carpenter of Greeneville; Parents: Dewey Edward and Lucille Carpenter of North Carolina; Father-in-law and mother-in-law: Bobby and Jewel Knight of Greeneville.
Graveside service only will be held at 2pm on Friday at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
