

He was a retired truck driver with Averitt Express.
Mr. Hale was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife: Eliza Mae Hale; daughter and son-in-law: Linda Joy and Gene Reyna; sons and daughters-in-law: Kelly Allen Hale, Tony Glen and Tera Hale, and Gary Edwin and Michelle Hale; grandchildren: Sherry Pope, Tony L. Hale, Jessica Hale, Shane Hale, Samantha Hale, Sierra Hale, Lacey Thomas, Courtney Hale, Isaac Phillips, John Michael, and Jo Jo; great grandchildren: Alanna Bradley, Gabriel Pope, Noelia Mendez, and Savannah Rose; brothers and sisters: Donnie Stewart, Marie Jones, Garnie Freeman, Carol Payne, and Fannie Mullins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two daughters: Melissa Robin Hale and Judy Kay Hale; and a grandson: Christopher Allen Hale; great grandson: Anthony Jovani Pope; and brother: Conley Stewart.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 8pm Monday, January 13, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lee Knowles and Rev. Jesse Swanner officiating. True Faith will be singing.
Interment will be at 2pm Tuesday at M.C. Free Community Cemetery in Natural Tunnel, Virginia.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie Pope, Derek Fry, Shane Hale, Gary Hale, Gene Reyna, Wade Katron, and Matthew Tomlinson.
