Ella D. Laws

She was a member of Community Fellowship Church and was active in the church as long as her health permitted and was truly blessed with a beautiful singing voice.

She was a loving mother and caregiver to her children and all who knew her.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Deborah and Raul Alcantara; Teresa Tarlton, Jessica and Cory Goins; two sons and daughters-in-law: Mark and Amy Laws, Edward and Anna Laws; grandchildren: James Laws, Lucas Laws, Kaitlin Laws, Sarah Laws,

Joseph King, Wesley King, Josh Tarlton, Amanda Tarlton, Nicole Goins, Cruz Alcantara, Krystal Garland, Amanda Bly, Ada Alcantara, Bobby Sparks, Scott Odom, Manny Alcantara, Kindra Alcantara; five great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law: Lavine and Dan Kirby; a

brother: Gordon Pike; brother-in-law: William Laws; and a sister-in-law: Phylis Laws.

She was the daughter of the late Richard and Onie May Pike and was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James H. Laws; two grandchildren, Cody James Laws and Melinda Hope Laws;

one brother, Dillard Pike; one sister, Novella Pike.

The funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2011, at Community Fellowship Church. Rev. Hubert Metcalf will officiate. Interment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Tweed, Max Laws, Charles Rice, Dwayne Casteel, Charlie Rice, Tim Metcalf and Josh Tarlton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Cruz Alcantara and Wade Ayers.

The family will receive from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
