Florence Louise Bottomley

Florence Louise Bottomley age 91, from Greeneville, lately of Carney Michigan, passed to her rest on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the home of her daughter, Diane Coffey. Florence was a long time member of the Greeneville Seventh Day Adventist Church. She rests in the blessed hope of the resurrection at the soon coming of Christ.

She received a nursing degree, but spent her life raising her five children in the home. Her family was her largest joy.

During her empty nest years, she enjoyed riding motorcycles and flying with her husband. She also enjoyed the fellowship of the Hoe/n Hope Garden Club. Though in her later years she was disabled with poor sight and hearing, but still enjoyed and anticipated spending time with her family….the more the better.

Florence is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Dan R. Bottomley, DDS; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Bottomley; a daughter-in-law, Linda (Daniel) Bottomley, four daughters, Dee (Mark) Van Eyk and Debra (Doug) DeGrave of Michigan and Diane (Glenn) Coffey and Doris (Earl) Shelton of Greeneville as well as many grand children, great grandchildren, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Florence Johns; a son, Daniel Bottomley and two grandsons, Devin DeGrave and Michael “Mikey” Bottomley.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 2 – 4 pm preceding the Memorial Service.

The Memorial Service will be at 4 pm on Friday, in the chapel of Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home with Dr. Michael O’Dell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Greeneville Adventist Academy Worthy Student Fund.
