Helen (Wessels) Thomas, passed away in Sonora CA on Saturday 11/28/20. She was a former resident of Greeneville, TN from 2003-2013 and was a member of the Greeneville SDA Church. Born in Durban, South Africa 2/22/1931; for most of her adult life she worked in Christian mission service in central Africa and was fluent in French and Swahili. She was preceded in death by two children, Margaret (4) and Marilyn (18), both buried in Africa, and by first husband of 52 years Don Thomas, and later by second husband James Turner, also both buried in Greeneville, TN.
