He was a former employee of Co-op in Rogersville.
Survivors include his mother: Bessie Mae Light; a daughter and son-in-law: Nickie and Darrell Odom; a son: James Keysmith; grandson: Zack Odom; and a sister and brother-in-law: Dena and Roy Ryan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Charlton.
As per Mr. Charlton's wishes, the body will be cremated.
There will be no formal services. Friends may call at the home of his mother at anytime.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Baileyton Volunteer Fire Department.
