John Bill Gaddis

He was employed at Greene Telephone Company, 41 years at Magnavox as well as 25 years at Greene County Fair.

The family states he was a loving father and grandfather.

John is survived by a daughter, Brenda Cobble (Doug) and a son, Billy Gaddis (Pam); grandchildren, Melissa Cobble and Matthew Cobble; several nieces and nephews, as well as cousins and friends. Also, surviving is a sister-in-law, Madge Britton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jess and Haddie Gaddis; his wife, Mildred Gaddis; granddaughter, Christin Shea Cobble; siblings, Redman Gaddis, Molly Vaughn, Janie Miller, Martha Kate Dunaway, Mable Gaddis; and a half-brother, Tom Gaddis.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 – 7 pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday in the chapel of Kiser Rose Hill Funeral with Rev. Jamie Lively and Rev. Bobby Islay officiating. Interment will follow at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers are Matthew and Grant Cobble, Bobby, Clay, Sammy, JJ Dunaway, and Bobby Islay.

Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
