John Wesley Thompson

He was a former employee of Jim’s Motorcycle Sales of Johnson City.

He was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church.

Mr Thompson is survived by his wife: Reba Painter Thompson; son: Kevin Thompson of South Central; daughter and son-in-law: Leslie and Danny Mathes of South Central; three grandchildren: Sierra Thompson, Danielle and Stephanie Mathes; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Hazel and Cecil Seaton and Angelina Long of South Central; brother and sister-in-law: Hawk and Jean Thompson of Jonesborough; sisters-in-law and husbands: JoAnn and Howard Painter of South Central and Earnestine and Jim France of Jonesborough; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend: Ross Russell of Johnson City.

He was the son of the late John Sevier and Judy Aldridge Thompson and was preceded in death by a brother: Ivan Thompson; and a sister: Madge Denny.

The family will receive friends 4-7 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home preceding the memorial service at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Gary Edwards will officiate.

Interment will follow at a later date.
