

Letha Metcalf Gunter, 91, of the Camp Creek community, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013
at her home.
She was a retired merchant after 35 years and retired from Greene County School System after 19 years.
Mrs. Gunter was a member of Harris Memorial Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband: Jack C. Gunter; three daughters and sons-in-law: Dean and Tony Johnson, Delores and Roscoe Johnson, all of Greeneville; Brenda and Tommy Laws of Johnson City; one son and daughter-in-law: Buford and Rebecca Metcalf of Greeneville; 21 grandchildren including Laura Crowder whom she raised; 18 great grandchildren;
6 great great grandchildren; one sister: Louise Colyer of Greeneville; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was the daughter of the late Willie and Minnie Bowens Reynolds and was preceded in death
by her first husband, Edward Metcalf; two infant children; a son, Bobby Gene Metcalf; five
sisters and two brothers.
The funeral service will be held at 8 pm Wednesday, November 20, 2013, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel.
Rev. Ken Smith and Rev. Hubert Metcalf will officiate. Interment will be 11 am Thursday at Harris Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allen Laws, Justin Waddell, B. J. Johnson, Brent Strange, Ryan Strange and Brent Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be T. J. Laws, Junior Johnson, Brian Johnson, Colt Strange, Ethan Metcalf and Tony Johnson.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
