

Lois Frances Miller, age 94, of Chuckey, passed away Wednesday, May 20th at home with family.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence C. Malone and Charlsie Horner Malone. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth E. Miller; a sister: Juanita Ramsey; two brothers: Bud Malone and Doyle Malone; and her precious companion and protector pet, Prince.
She was a charter member of Limestone Free Will Baptist Church, where she and her beloved sister, Juanita Ramsey attended for many years together. They enjoyed planting beautiful flowers at the church in the spring and summer.
She worked many places in her lifetime but came home to American Greetings, where she retired after 47 years at the age of 85. She had so many precious co-worker friends who became family to her, including her co-worker and lifelong friend, Miranda Bowman.
She was a loving wife and a wonderful Mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed her special friendships with Peggie Mothershed, Wendy Nease and others.
She is survived by five children: Joyce and John Cansler of Chuckey, Dale and Barbara Miller of Mosheim, Phyllis and Milton Gross of Chuckey, Sandy and Rick Parvin of Greeneville, and Beverly Hilton and Robbie Seals of Mosheim; seven grandchildren: Bradley and Delia Cansler, Jason and Andrea Cansler, Brian Miller and Candy Spillman, Mary and Gary Scruggs, Rob Gross and Tawnya Mather, Ryan and Amber Parvin and Staci Parvin; twelve great-grandchildren: Sydney Cansler, James Cansler, Olivia Cansler, William Cansler, Zack Scruggs, Ethan Scruggs, Sandi and Tyler Renner, Josh Dean, Nikki and Aaron Sutherland, Lisel Soronen, Austin Sizemore and Brody Parvin; a sister-in-law: Betty Vannoy of Chuckey; and several nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her beautiful white horse whom she called “Boo” (Bo) and Betty, the sweet lady who took him to her home to care for him when Mom could not.
A special thanks to the staff at Amedysis Hospice Group especially Rachel, Vickie and Kathy and to our friends Jennifer (Willie), Sandra, Sharon and Mistie who came to help us stay with Mom.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 5-7 pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Pastor Tim Broyles and Pastor Tim Roach will officiate.
Interment will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday at Graceland Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be: Bradley Cansler, Jason Cansler, Brian Miller, Gary Scruggs, Ryan Parvin and Rob Gross.
Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
