

Martha Maxine “Pat” Chapman, of Greeneville died, Sunday, April 24, 2022. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.” Pat has received her well-deserved crown from her Lord and Savior.
She was born May 14, 1927, the daughter of Francis Russell Morrison and Esther Matilda (Kilday) Morrison. She lived most of her life in the Cross Anchor Community with her husband of 53 years, Jerome Ray Chapman. Pat as she was affectionately nicknamed by her dad, was a homemaker, farmer mother friend, and neighbor to all. She faithfully attended Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church as long as her health permitted, where she tirelessly worked and served in many positions over the years.
She is survived by one son and daughter in law, Gary and Cindy Chapman of Chuckey; three grandchildren, Kevin Chapman, Kari Campbell and Dr. Caitlin Chapman-Rambo and her husband, Bill; three great grandchildren, Garrett Campbell, Harper Rambo, and Hayden Rambo; one great great grandson, Brayden Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Chapman; parents; and brother, Joe Morrison; infant brother Oral Morrison; and two sisters; Mona Love and Geneva Duerk.
The family will receive friends from 6- 8pm Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 1pm in the chapel of Kiser Rose Hill Funeral Home Thursday, April 28, 2022 with Rev. Tammy Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Cross Anchor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jim Lister, Bill Rambo, Wayne Chapman, Nathan Love, Devin Lowe, and Jordan Lister.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses, nursing assistants, and staff at Durham Hensley for the wonderful love and care given to her during her residence there.
