Mary Elizabeth Arwood

She was a bookkeeper at DeBusk Elementary/South Greene Middle School. She attended Victory Church of God where she was a faithful member. She was a loving wife, mother and especially grandmother. Her favorite gift to her family was to cook every Sunday dinner.

She is survived by her husband: Doyle Arwood; three children and their spouses: Casey and Brian Fillers, Kelly and Greg Tennar, Alex and Katie Arwood; grandchildren: Alyssa Fillers, Riley Fillers, Colton Fillers, Parker Arwood, Cameron Tweed, Hannah Casteel, Morgan Tweed; two sisters: Anita Souder and Martha Harper; two brothers: Dave and Ann Casteel, Steve and Bev Casteel; special friend and niece: Rhonda Casteel; special sister-in-law: Regina Casteel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Gene and Carolyn Arwood; brother-in-law: Steve Harris and several other nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Elmer Casteel and Ruby Crum Casteel. She was preceded in death by eight brothers: Jim, Harold, Roger, Fred, Phillip, Charles Elmer, Billy and Lynn Casteel and one sister: Barabara Boyd.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Sunday and 2-4 and 5-7 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 pm in the chapel. Rev. Jim Fillers, Rev. Jeff Casteel and Rev. Kevin Casteel will officiate. Interment will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:15 am Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Colton Fillers, Parker Arwood, Cameron Tweed, Daniel Casteel, Chuck Casteel, Kevin Harris and Stanley Souder.

Honorary pallbearers will be: South Greene class of 1974 and South Greene Middle School past and present co-workers and students.

Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
