She was a retired office manager at Kodak in Huntsville, Ala.
Mrs. Hankal was a member of Mt. Olive (Red Hill) as long as her health permitted.
Survivors include two sisters: Imogene Luttrell and Reba Bird, both of Greeneville; a brother: Ernest Vern Bowman of Greeneville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Edgar Bowman and Bonnie Jones Bowman and was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hankal, Sr.; a son, Henry Hankal, Jr.; a sister, Betty Jo House; and three brothers-in-law, J. D. House, Elmer Luttrell and Alonzo Bird.
The family will receive friends 5-7 pm Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7 pm Thursday in funeral home chapel with Rev. George Kirkland officiating.
Interment will be at 2 pm Friday in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at 1 pm Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
Pallbearers will be Jay House, Randy Bowman, Chad House, Jimmy Jones, Al Gourley and Sam Hensley.
The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff at Morning Pointe of Greeneville and to the staff of Amedisys Hospice.
