

He was a former employee of Magnavox and Formex.
Mr. Ward was a member of Victory Church of God.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and a friend to all he knew.
Survivors include his loving wife of 58 years: Ann Ward; son and daughter-in-law: Mike and Margaret Ward; son: Tim Ward and special friend, Jean Berg; granddaughters: Holly C. Ward and Jamie N. Greer; grandson: Josh Ball; special great grandson: Ethan Ball; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law: Joann Ward and Doris and Don Jenkins; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Lawrence and Josephine Ward and was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Eugene Ward and Charles Ward; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ellis and Elizabeth Freshour; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Janet Renner.
The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Sunday and 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Fillers officiating.
Interment will be at 11 am Tuesday in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Junior Banks, Sammy Anderson, Jimmy Starnes, Danny Sluder, Freddie Myers, Mark McGinnis, Markus McGinnis and Lyle Miller.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kenny Jenkins, Billy Jo Ward, Rickie Ward, Johnny Ray Renner, Josh Renner, Randy Cutshall, Jeff Miller, Steve Wells, Chad Higgenbotham and the rest of the guys at Cove Creek Store, and his “camping buddies”.
