R. B. Renner

He was a farmer and a plumber.

His family states, “He went to be with the Lord. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.”

Survivors include his wife of 54 years: Masil A. Renner; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Terry and Judy Renner of Mosheim, Brandon Sams of Greeneville and fiancé, Casey Westmoreland of Mosheim; three daughters and sons-in-law: Peggy and John Daugherty, Tammy and Byron Randolph, all of Greeneville, Debbie and Sherman Starnes, of Limestone; a special niece whom he considered “a daughter’: Donna Bowers of Greeneville; grandchildren: Tracy Miller and husband, Brad, of Chuckey, Shanna Howard and husband, Scott, of Aiken, South Carolina, Andy Starnes of Limestone, Charity Ramsey and husband, Michael, of St. Clair; a special great niece, whom he considered a “granddaughter”: Jessica Robinette, of Greeneville; great grandchildren: Madison Miller, Macy Miller, and Courtney Malone; a sister and brother-in-law: Alice and Buck Jones; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Bill and Margaret Renner, Cecil and Wanda Renner; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: George Davis, Beulah Renner, JoAnn and Glen Perry, Edith Renner, Troy and Mitzi Dunn, Brenda Andies and fiancé, Dean Smith, Teddy and Judy Andies, and Mildred Blake; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Henrietta White, Kaye Ricker, Barbara Henegar, and Tammy Livingston, “whom he considered his special little angel”.

He was the son of the late Connie and Hattie Lamb Renner and was preceded in death by brothers: Ivan, L. V., James C., Ralph, and Don Renner; sisters: Hazel Helbert, Goldene Davis, and Nellie Glover; brothers-in-law: Howard Helbert, Frank Glover, and Homer Blake; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Walter L. and Golden Andies; special nephews: Ronnie Davis, Tony Renner, and Joey Peters; and a special niece: Angela Peters.

The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Buster Shelton, Rev. Tommy Collins, and Rev. John Daugherty will officiate.

Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jim Helbert, Tom Helbert, Randy Renner, Bobby Jones, Randy Jones, Richie Renner, Rick Blake, Mike Dunn, Tim Renner, Bo Andies, Michael Ramsey, and Brad Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Carlton, Lyle Smith, Dale Ottinger, Chris Gray, Junior Phillips, Jim Peters, Johnny Williams, Harold Dean Seaton, Dr. Kenneth Susong and staff, Dr. A. K. Sen and staff, Dr. Mandeep Bakshi, Dr. John Boys, and Cindy Miller and the 3rd floor staff of Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 5-7 p.m. Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service.
