Ruth Gregory Johnston

She retired from K-Mart as the personnel supervisor.

Ruth was a member of Cedar Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

She was a graduate of Greeneville High School.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: David and Denise Johnston of Greeneville; brother and sister-in-law: Tom and Fran Gregory of Greeneville; three granddaughters and spouses: Nina and Robert Vaughn and Kelly and Trevor Jones of Douglasville, Georgia, and Jill and Russell Conrad of Virginia Beach, Virginia; three great grandchildren; brother-in-law: Edward Johnston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the daughter of the late Josephine McNew Gregory and Charles H. Gregory and was preceded in death by her husband: Dale E. “Gene” Johnston; and a brother: Charles E. “Sammy” Gregory.

The family will receive friends from 4pm-7pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 7pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Casey Nicholson officiating.

Interment will be at 10am Wednesday at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at 9:15am Wednesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Susong, Fox Susong, Stone Susong, David Johnson, Dale Gregory, and Joe Gregory.
