Teddy J. Carpenter

He was a retired maintenance supervisor for Moody Dunbar Inc. He was a member of VFW post #1990 where he was an active participant with the Color Guard and he was a US Army Veteran. Teddy was a Baptist by faith.

He is survived by four children: Joseph (Janet) Carpenter, Linda (James) Massey, Karen Carpenter Smith and Terry (Dawn) Carpenter; grandchildren: Roger Lynn Metcalf Jr., Tommy (Kisha) Darnell and Cody (Jessi) Darnell; a step grandson: Jessy Massey; great grandchildren: Amber Lynn Metcalf, Thomas Darnell Jr., Nicholas Darnell, Caden Darnell and Alivia Darnell; and a step great granddaughter: Jessy Massey.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Joe and Virgie Carpenter; two brothers: Larry Carpenter and Bobby Carpenter; one sister: Carolyn Effler; and a great granddaughter: Anna Ruth Metcalf.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 8:00 pm in the chapel. Rev. Mark Laughlin will officiate.

Interment will be held at 2:00 pm Monday at Mountain Home National Cemetery.

Greeneville Greene County Honor Guard and the TN National Guard Honors Team will conduct a military graveside service.

Pallbearers will be: Roger Metcalf Jr., Thomas Darnell, Cody Darnell, Thomas Darnell Jr., James Massey, Nicholas Darnell, Craig Gorneault, and Terry Massey.

Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
