Viola Marie Guthrie

Mrs. Guthrie was born in Harlan, Kentucky. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and

great grandmother. She was very supportive in every way to her family and friends. A good

hearted, giving woman who was loved by all who knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 53 years: Paul E. Guthrie; three daughters and two sons-in-law: Teresa Muehl and friend, Gene Derrick, Debbie and Chris Brokschmidt, Tina and William Tart, Jr.; grandchildren: Jacob Weidner, Lucas Weidner, Angela McAmis, Mallisa Muehl, Michael Sturgill II and Heather Sturgill; great grandchildren: Paul Newton, Dyllan Newton, Taylor Weidner, Nichole Weidner, Wyatt Weidner, Cole Weidner, Jamie Vaughn, Brandi Vaughn, Carrie Vaughn, Savanna Kelly, Noami Daniels and Oculeaus Sturgill; sisters: Cleo Suchara of Detroit, Michigan, Eddie Owens of Harlan, Kentucky, and Gene Gutierrez of Los Angles, California.

She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Serilda Arnold and was preceded in death by two

brothers, Junior and Charles Arnold.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013 , at Willoughby Cemetery.

Rev. Rick Bowser will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Paul Newton, Jake Weidner, William Tart, Jr., Jerad McAmis and Chris Brokschmidt.

Dyllan Newton will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Monday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
