Wayland M. Huff Sr.

He attended Pine Grove United Methodist Church.

He was an insurance agent and director for Farmers Mutual Insurance, a farmer, a Greene County Commissioner, FSA Chairman and a Greene County School System bus driver for 32 years.

He was treasurer of the Orebank Ruritan Club for many years.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was very loved and a friend to all.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years: Wilma Huff; one daughter and son-in-law: Sonja and Jeff Maddox of Knoxville; one son, Kay Huff; grandchildren: Lucas Maddox and wife, Ashley, Benjamin Maddox, and Tyler Huff and girlfriend, Beth Ripley; a great grandson: Axl Huff; one sister: Helen Mashburn; one brother: Jerald Huff; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one daughter: Teresa Huff; his parents: Wilbur and Maggie Bell Huff; one brother: Riley Huff; and two sisters: Gladys Keller and Geneva Taylor.

The family will receive friends 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 pm Sunday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 1 pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Grimm and Rev. Jim Fain officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Maddox, Lucas Maddox, Ben Maddox, Tyler Huff, Rick Huff, and Ronnie Huff.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of Farmers Mutual Insurance, the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville, Dr. Charles Montgomery, the staff of Amedysis Hospice, and his caregivers: Jeanetta, Barbara, Betty, Carla and Jackie.
