

He went to work for Jarden Zinc Products in 1999 as an Information Systems Analyst and was promoted to Senior Systems Analyst.
Rev. Helton was a member of Carpenters Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
He was ordained as a minister on February 27, 2011.
He was a wonderful, loving husband and father who will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years: Barbara Helton; three daughters: Haley, Casey, and Deanna Helton; mother: Phyllis Helton Bise Cox and husband, Bud Cox; sister: Pollie Brandon; grandmother: Mae Bell; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father: Wiley Gideon Helton; grandparents: Frank and Faye Helton and Rev. Garnie Bell; and one aunt: Ruby “Dale” Fearnow.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2pm Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Carpenter’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Elmer “Sonny” Beaver and Rev. Jim Trent officiating.
Interment will follow in Carpenter’s Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Blazer, Jerry Deyton, Johnny Carpenter, Lee Lane, Jimmy Hill, and Donald Lynn Swatzell.
Honorary pallbearers will be the members of Carpenter’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church and his co-workers at Jarden Zinc Products.
The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Caris Hospice, Dr. Dharmen Patel and staff, and the employees of Jarden Zinc Products.
