Antonietta DeAngelis

Born in Italy, Antonietta immigrated to Canada in 1956. She was the beloved wife of the late Nicola DeAngelis (1993). Antonietta and Nicola shared a lifelong devotion to family. Together, they built a home rooted in love, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to their children and extended family. Their partnership was defined by hard work, mutual support and a deep dedication to creating a better life for those they loved.

Antonietta was a devoted and loving mother to Barbara (Dave) Pagnan and Mario (Elspeth) DeAngelis. She was a proud and cherished Nonna to her four grandchildren: Deanna Remenyi (Mike), Danielle Pagnan (Dave), Megan DeAngelis and Ashley DeAngelis (Jed). Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Wesley and Robert Remenyi, who brought her immense joy.

She will be dearly missed by her sister Maria DeAngelis, brother-in-law Joseph DeAngelis, sister-in-law Maria D’Angelo and Sylvester Ramlu and family. Antonietta was predeceased by her brother Vincenzo D’Angelo, her sisters-in-law Anna DiGravio, Maria D’Angelo and her brothers-in-law Joe DiGravio and Tony D’Angelo. She was a treasured Zia to her many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

Antonietta found her greatest happiness in spending time with her loved ones, especially around the table sharing the delicious meals she lovingly prepared. Her pineapple cookies were a family favourite and will be fondly remembered by all who were lucky enough to enjoy them.

Antonietta will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength and unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
