Antonietta Martini, two months short of her 90th birthday, passed away peacefully on October 10th, 2026. Born in Galliera Veneta, Italy, arriving in Canada in 1958, where she lived a life full of love and laughter. Devoted wife to predeceased husband Natalino Martini, sister of Eugina Cusinato and predeceased brother Mario Cusinato (Sara). Loving mother to Valeria Findlay (late Gord) and Dolores Gaetan (Joe). Dedicated Nonna to Daniel Gaetan (Chantal), Alex Burns (Graham), and Jenna Kernan (Adam). Antonietta was also blessed with the title of Bis-Nonna (great grandmother) to Amelia, Rheya, Patrick, Oliver, and Logan.
She found great joy in making sugo, minestrina, pizzelle, jam, and espresso for all of those in her large circle of friends and family. She wore the title of “Nonna” proud as she became an extra grandmother to so many as her warmth and love spread to all of those who came around. Antonietta found great joy in the simple things in life like pampering herself by getting manicures and pedicures as well as eating an ice cream drumstick while she watched her favourite TV shows.
