Barbara Ann Peters

Loving wife of 57 years to the late David Earl Peters (2011) and loving mother to Kerry Peters-Ferguson, Nancy Darnell (David), Bruce Peters and devoted sister to Joan Davies (Ross).

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Lenora Leavens, and brothers Robert (Joan Elaine, deceased) and John Leavens.

Barbara loved her grandchildren Robin Ferguson (Caradey), Bradley Peters (Sarah), Ashley Peters (Graham LaCroix), Jarrod Darnell (Jessica); her great grandchildren Keenen, Faye, and Ella Feruson, Arianna Peters, Mason and Madison LaCroix, Riley Peters, Annie and Cameron Darnell; her niece, Susan MacMillan and nephew, Dean Powell (Kim); plus great niece, Erin MacMillan and great nephews, Ian MacMillan, Cameron, Kyle and Keith Powell.

Barbara enjoyed travelling and loved living in Calgary, Alberta surrounded by her beloved Canadian Rockie Mountains.

She was a master seamstress, knitter, quilter and cultivated the most beautiful gardens! Her favourite sport was the game of “Curling” and she thoroughly enjoyed playing the card game of “Bridge” with many friends and family across Canada.

Barbara loved her family very much and we will carry our love for her forever in our hearts. Barbara will be greatly missed by her many friends and family.

Rest in peace, Mom. We love you!
