I never knew you well, but despite that, you were always so kind and welcoming to me. You were such a passionate person, and although you struggled with many things no one could understand, you were never hesitant to be friendly with just about everyone, and make everybody laugh. You would never fail to say hello and smile whenever you saw me, which I appreciate so much. I wish I had known how much you were struggling. The impact you’ve had on me is so much more than you could ever know.  I think about you every day. Rest easy, Ben.

Ben, you were a wonderful person with so much knowledge and strength.  I am so glad to have met you. I will cherish the talks we had and the help you gave. Condolences to your family. I know how much you loved them. May you rest in peace, Ben.

So sorry to hear of my cousin Ben’s (Benjy) passing. He left SK many years ago. Missed out on getting to know him as an adult. I watched the video of his service and he sounded like he was a very special man, very intelligent and loved. Condolences to his wife, children, family and friends. RIP Ben. 

I only had the pleasure of meeting my uncle Ben a few times, but he left a massive impact on me. I still have the signed balls from the jays game you took me too and the stack of cd's you made for me that greatly influenced my taste in music growing up. I don't know how I stumbled across your obituary on the day of your funeral and got to watch the livestream but I am grateful I got to hear the wonderful things said about you and hear about your family and how much they meant to you. I really regret not reaching out to you in recent years but also glad that you and my Dad are reunited.

I had the pleasure of working with Ben at 12 division when I was a new Sergeant and Ben was a new Constable.   We had a lot of great conversations and he always had a smile of his face.   I also worked with Rick Klemenc at 12 division when I was a new Constable.   Condolences to Ben’s family.  

I knew Ben from 12 division and had the fortune of working for years at Intelligence with him. He was my “go to” guy for all things technology, investments, and above all, income properties. 

Everything he did was for his family, and his love for you all crept into every conversations. His loss shocked and saddens me to the core. Rest easy brother, you will be dearly missed.

So very sorry for your loss Lisa.  Our thoughts are with you, Alexis, Madison and Brody.  I worked with Ben for several years at Intelligence and I enjoyed his smile and laugh.  He was a great guy to work with, and spoke about you and the kids all the time.  He will be missed.  

I am so, so very sorry for your loss … this was a complete shock to hear about and to someone so young! 

I worked with Ben many moons ago … we did the SOCO course together and some very fun times.  I will remember him for his humour and wittiness that he had and although it’s been years since we last spoke I know he would have picked up right where we left off if we had crossed paths again.  

Sadly that will not happen now and my heart goes out to your family especially to his immediate family!


Lisa, Alexis, Madeline, Brody and family, I am so very sorry. I worked with Ben at Intelligence for the entire time he worked there. He was a character and knew alot about everything! We often got Ben to figure out the exact date for us all to retire. He loved doing that for us. 
So often I thought of reaching out to him when he was off sick and now I regret not having done so. I would have brought him a batch of my butter tarts that he often asked for. I can’t imagine your loss. We will be there to support you in any way we can. Sending hugs to you all. 

I was sorry to hear of this news as I worked in the Detective Office at at 12 Division years ago when Ben arrived as a new officer, always keen, questioned everything and had a constant smile.  Condolences to his wife and children on hearing of the passing of someone at such a young age.
