Charles "Carl" Simon Reinhart

Carl was born on January 4, 1956, in Kitchener to Frances and Simon Reinhart.

Growing up on his family farm and into his adult years, Carl worked hard as a dairy farmer. Carl took pride in showing cattle over the years. He had a great love for animals, especially for all his dogs. Carl was always a hard worker and put all his heart into everything he did in life. For the last 20 years, he worked hard building the family landscaping business with his sons.

Carl met Debbie in their teenage years, and they were married on June 25, 1977, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Maryhill. Together they built a beautiful life and raised four wonderful children. To his family, he was a man of strong faith, a devoted husband, a loving father, papa, and best friend. Carl meant a great deal to his family, his children, his grandchildren and anyone he met - they knew they had a friend for life.

Carl was an exceptional hockey and baseball player leading many teams to victory. His most notable achievement was as the Captain of the Cambridge Hornets when they won The Allan Cup in 1983, which he was very proud of. Over the years his love of sports led him to meet many friends and he passed his love of sports on to his children as well. In addition, Carl had a great love for snowmobiling with family and friends.

Carl was predeceased by his parents Frances (Bruder) and Simon Reinhart, his brother Tom Reinhart, his sister Jeannie (Reinhart) Draves, and his brother Joseph Reinhart.

Carl is survived by his wife Debbie, his children Lisa (Chris), Jeff (Arden), Michael, Rob (Liz) and his grandchildren Carter, Carson, Madelynn, Everly, Brielle, Aspen, Cayden, and Dallas, step grandchildren Tiago and Celia, as well as his brother in law Bryon Draves, his brother Jim (Rose), his sister Mary (Dan), and his brother David (MaryLynn) along with all of his nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon Street in Guelph on Sunday, August 23 from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Maryhill on Monday, August 24 at 10 AM followed by a reception at Ariss Valley Golf Course on Wellington Road 86 in Ariss at 12 PM.
