Condolences to the family. I found this picture the other day at my mother's house going through some old stuff. It was for my 5th birthday and Dave was my next door neighbor and one of my first friends. He moved away shortly after this picture with his family but I'll always remember watching the Monkees show with Dave and laughing. RIP old friend.

Worked many years at Zehrs with my good friend Dave. Always a pleasure to see him and work on different projects. Always very up beat, positive and fun to be around. Continue to rest in peace my friend.

Dear Julie, Avery and Kaleigh,
I am very sorry to hear of Dave's passing. It was always evident that he loved you all so much. He wanted the best for you Avery and Kaleigh. You were the most important part of his life. I will be thinking of your family.

It is with such great sadness that I learned of Dave’s untimely passing. Dave could always be counted on to be his genuine self. His open personality and his humour will be greatly missed from the world and especially in his family and friends’ lives. Gone much, much too soon. Deepest condolences to his family, Julie and their girls, and to his best friend, Sean.

I think that if Dave could have planned his funeral, we would've all walked in to Slayer on full blast, shared some jokes, watched a 10 minute video of his mine cart taking us through his Minecraft creative world, and then ended with photos of him at his happiest.. with his daughters. Afterwards, we would all eat day-old Subs and laugh about the great memories we've shared through the years.
I'll miss his random phone calls and his unwavering support. I'll miss his stories about the good old days and his Zehrs shrines. Dave was a great friend and I'll always be grateful for the impact he made on my life. I'm so glad to have known Dave. Rest in peace bro 🙏🏼

So many of my core teenage memories include Dave. He was always smiling and ready to have a laugh but he was also there if anyone needed anything even if just to lend an ear. He introduced me to a lot of music, still think of him grooving out when I hear Gin n Juice. It’s been more that 25 years since we have spoken face to face but he will always be one of the best friends I ever had. My thoughts are with his daughters and his family, a heartbreaking loss.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. He was a great friend and I'll always cherish our many conversations. Dave was immensely proud of Averi and Kaleigh and he spoke of them all the time. He will be dearly missed. Take care of yourselves.

With heartfelt sympathy,
Dean MacLanders

I was so saddened to hear the news over the weekend of Dave’s passing.
I was so fortunate to have had the pleasure of working with Dave when he started out on store Set-up, and then when he was promoted into his role as a GM/HABA Specialist at Zehrs.
It was amazing to watch Dave grow in his roles over the years. He was very much a team player, so dedicated and passionate, and was so admired by his colleagues and peers in our business. He will definitely be missed.
Several years have passed since Dave and I actually have worked together, however, I always considered Dave to be a friend and someone that I admired and respected.
Dave your daughters Averi and Kaleigh were the love of your life. Your parents, brothers and their families all meant so much to you. They will all miss you very much. May the wonderful times you shared with all of them, your friends and your colleagues carry on in our hearts and memories for a long time to come.
May You Rest in Peace.

Dave was a great next door neighbour and friend to our family for many years. Our summer evening banter and friendly neighbourly exchanges will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to Averi, Kaleigh and family.

I cannot tell you how saddened I am to learn of Dave's passing!
I had the pleasure of working with Dave for many years at Zehrs Head Office. He was the first HABC/GM Specialist we hired. He was a very dedicated and hard working man. I could always count on him. He was very well liked by everyone around him. Store employees and managers, as well as the Refurb and setup guys and most certainly Peter Schwarz and I valued his dedication to our departments.
I am so sorry he has left us at such a very young age. My heart goes out to you girls as I know he adored you.
My Deepest Sympathies,
Lori Bennett-Davies

Dave was a great friend and neighbour for many decades. He will be sadly missed. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I have fond memories of camping and going to concerts back in the day with Dave. More recently going to the movies, meeting for a beer, and chatting about everything under the sun. I will miss his voice, laugh, kindness, and friendship.

Deepest condolences to Dave’s family, friends, and co-workers. He touched many lives and will be missed. ❤️

This was one of my fav nights ever… Dave, Bub, and myself never really had many opportunities to party together… we made up for it that night and at my wedding… all love. Xo

During this time of grief, may you find solace in the love and memories you shared with Dave. His spirit will live on in the lives he touched. Our sincere condolence to all his family and friends.
🙏

It’s with great sadness and shock that I learned of the passing of Dave. Though we haven't seen each other in about 30 years, we reconnected through social media in recent years, and I am so very grateful for that.

Dave holds such a special place in my heart as my first boyfriend, my very first love story -the one with whom I shared so many wild and cool teenage stories so many of life’s firsts with.

We hadn't seen or talked to eachother in about 25 years when we reconnected online and there was literally not one moment of awkwardness, it was just smooth and easy. We just had nothing but love and laughter to share over our old stories. Our trips, and our time at Sheridan College together, and how much he was full-on a real part of my family at that time. He was amazed when I showed him I still had love letters and some of his artwork from that one year he was away at College. No cell phones back then! We laughed about the strict schedule we kept that year for payphone calls and snail mail. the memories of our time together are filled with warmth and nostalgia. I told him i can't hear that old Bryan Adams song we called "our song" back in the day without thinking about him. He called me cheesy or something lol, but then told me when he hears All Summer Long by Kid Rock nowadays he thinks of me. I thought that was the best.

Dave was so kind, funny, and full of life, leaving an impression on me that has lasted all these years.

My heart goes out to his daughters, of whom he shared many stories about and showed such beautiful love, and to his family and his friends during this incredibly difficult time. David Raymond Watson, you will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

It was certainly a shock to hear that Dave had passed away. Although, our working paths crossed briefly, he was a good guy to work with. My heart and condolences go out to his family, friends and co workers. He will me missed .

Condolences to Dave's family. I worked with him at Zehrs Laurentian. He was a great guy, and he will be missed.

Our condolences to the Watson family! He was my nephew and I remember him fondly. With miles between us most of our lives, I didn't get to spend a lot of time with him. I am greatful to the times that we did get to see each other. May God keep strength to the Watson family.
