

He was born on April 25, 1933, to William and Marie Thompson. Dean was a loving husband to his wife, Audrey, with whom he shared 68 wonderful years. He was a devoted father to Lee (Kathi), Craig, Fraser, Scott, and Peter, and a cherished grandpa to Logan (Lindsay) and Victor. He took great joy in being a great-grandfather to Liam and Aurora, whose smiles brought him endless happiness.
Dean dedicated 30 years of his career to Inmont, where he made lasting friendships and was known for his work ethic. A passionate history enthusiast, he had a special fondness for the Civil War and often shared his knowledge with family and friends. In his free time, Dean loved spending days at the racetrack, painting, and indulging his creative side as an amateur handyman.
A private cremation service has taken place, entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home - Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St., Guelph). Donations directed to Georgetown Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
Dean’s warmth, humor, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
