It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Diane, on December 17, 2025, at the age of 59. Cherished mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend whose kindness defined her life and touched everyone that knew her.
Diane was a loving mother to Derek, beloved wife to Myles and devoted sister to Karen (Bob) Blanche (Jim), Sylvia, (Craig), Lorraine (Zoran), Paul (Brenda) and Joanne (Frank) and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Silvere and Sheila Bossaer.
Diane embraced new opportunities and challenges throughout her life, beginning with her move to Toronto to start her career. She first worked with an audio-visual company in the office, then moved on to an electrical company located at the Skydome, where she met her husband, Myles. She later transitioned into the special effects industry alongside Myles, travelling at times across North America and around the world for events and international tours, where she became affectionately known as “Mom” by the crews. In more recent years, Diane returned to the company where she began, working with an amazing team and building lasting friendships and bonds.
Diane and Myles were best friends for 9 years and married for almost 27 years. She was his everything through good times and bad, his rock, mortar, and stone.
Diane lived her life entirely on her own terms. She had an open heart, a strong will, and an unwavering commitment to independence. She expressed her generosity and kindness through cooking and baking; her kitchen was a place of warmth and joy for her.
Diane was honest, kind, loyal and devoted to family and friends. She was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Her compassion was not loud, but it was constant, leaving a lasting mark on all who were fortunate to be part of her life.
We want to take a moment to personally thank Sabeen Chaudhry (Diane’s PSW), who cared for Diane like a sister and in a short time, became a member of our family.
Thank you to all the staff at Credit Valley Hospital and the staff at Trillium Mississauga Hospital, 5th Floor and ICU. Everyone was so kind to Diane and all of us.
Diane embraced life to the fullest so please come and join us for a Celebration of Her Life on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, from 1pm to 4pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, 57 Watson Parkway S. Guelph, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that a donation to your preferred charity be made in Diane’s name.
