Dino Favretto

Dino was born on November 15, 1941, he was in his 84th year and was the loving husband of the late Natalina Favretto (Pozzobon).

Loving father of Michael (Barb) Linda (Mike) and David (Brittany) all of Guelph. Proud Nonno of Mya, Lucas, Ryan, Michaela, and Marco.

Dear brother to the late Lina, Rita, Emma, Ferrucio, Luigi, Benito, and Gina. Survived by many loving relatives in Guelph (Canada) and throughout Italy. Dino was born in Italy but came to Canada and created a beautiful life here. He was a proud Canadian and a proud employee of the University of Guelph.

Dino loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved gardening, cooking, fishing, and the outdoors. Dino was resilient, passionate, loyal, and always fun to be with. He was one of a kind, admired deeply and loved by all who knew him. He was caring, honest, loyal and he had tremendous strength. He was special to so many people and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph where his family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A funeral will take place for him on Monday, November 17, 2025, at the Gilbert MacIntryre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph at 11am.
