Born on July 9, 1931, Doris was born in Guelph, Ontario, and remained closely connected to the community throughout her life.
With a steady gentleness and a quiet kindness, Doris found her greatest joy in the people she loved. She took special delight in time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her warmth was felt most clearly in the simple, faithful ways she cared—through conversation, presence, and affection. She also treasured her pets and the pleasure of travel, embracing the comfort of home and the interest of seeing new places with equal grace.
Doris is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Kathleen. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Natalie, Shannon, Jacob, Nichole, Jessica, and Victoria; by her great-grandchildren: Ethan, Ava, Michael, Lexi, Thomas, and Kai; and her sister, Florence. Doris was also much loved by Michael, Ryan, Barbara, Andrew, Dan, Jeremy, Sonja, and Ruth.
Doris was predeceased by her husband, Paul J Hebert; her daughter, Linda; her grandson, Anthony; her parents, Clarence and Leoyla Breese; and her siblings: Clarence, Eileen, Helen and Larry .
Guests will be received on October 24 at 11:30 am, a Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 pm with reception to follow. All services will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son- Hart Chapel on 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, ON.
