I am saddened  to hear about the loss of Florence, my condolences to your family. My father lived in Guelph for many years and had a collection of treasures from the local arts and crafts scene. Sadly, he passed away and while going through his things I discovered a painting that Florence did from at the Niska Waterfront Park. Florence was obviously talented with oil paints. I think my father would be happy that I want to repatriate this artwork back to your family. I will leave my contact information with the funeral home. Again, sorry for your loss. Eric Devine

Just heard about your Mom’s passing . She and your dad were such good friends of our parents. They spent enjoyable  times dancing in the early days,  and  visiting over the years.  We have fond memories of coming to your childhood farm and spending time with all of you. Please accept our sincere condolences and hold dear those times you spent with her.

I have always admired Florence for her graceful strength, her impressive hostess skills, her example of proper etiquette and her lovely sense of humour! A visit with her was genuinely warm and interesting, and I would leave feeling loved and uplifted. 
Her array of homemade relishes and pickles back in the day was something to behold! The detail in her paintings is exquisite! How she found time to accomplish all she did, I will never know. The world has lost a real gem, and I will miss her happy laugh.

Mrs Hutton often welcomed me to her beautiful country home, when her daughter, my good friend Joan  kindly invited me for sleepovers and swims in their  refreshing pool, brimming with family and friends. Always a strong, hardworking, yet elegant and fun loving presence, she filled a void for me when my own home could  sometimes be lonely. 

Heartfelt condolences, Joan, Wray, Vicky and family, Mrs Hutton will be missed, but not forgotten.

Joan, Wray, Vicky and families - Florence was such a special person to us all and we will miss her laughter and comforting words.  I remember staying at the farm with Florence and Ed when mom was in hospital (Judy was in Woodstock).  Cleaning day meant dusting various rooms and that long curving staircase.  Thought I'd cut the task short and slide down the bannister, such fun, but Florence was waiting for me at the bottom!  She was famous for her pies and one Christmas she brought pies to mom & dads (Cliff and Evelyn).  Unfortunately, Ed had had to make a quick stop on ice and her pies up in back window of car came crashing down on back seat.  She was not pleased, but they still tasted marvelous. I always remember your mom and dad dancing at the Puslinch Community Centre.  They just floated on the dance floor!
I always enjoyed being associated with your dad and mom when he served on several planning committees at the Township.  I was Clerk-Treasurer of the Township at the time.  
Your mom and dad were such a lovely couple. 
We had a couple of your mom's paintings hanging at the Township offices.
