She is survived by her husband of 68 years Danilo Porcellato. She will also be dearly missed by her daughter Nadia Porcellato, son Nico Porcellato (Tara O’Brien), her grandchildren Nicole Wildeboer (James King), Matthew Wildeboer (Emily), Eloise Porcellato and Cristian Porcellato. Much loved Nonni to great-grandchildren Elaina and Gabriel Wildeboer.
Giustina is also survived by her dear sister Giovanina Dussin, as well as her many brothers-in law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy, Ecuador and Florida.
Giustina was predeceased by her parents Carmelino & Maria Dal Bello (Campagnolo), her sister Angela (Rosi), her brothers Abbondio, Angelo, Fortunato (Berto), Giulio and Luigi, as well as brothers & sisters-in-law.
Giustina came to Canada one month after her 20th birthday in September of 1954, with her parents, sister Giovanina, and brothers Giulio and Luigi. Although they grew up 10km apart in Italy, Danilo and Giustina did not meet until 1956 in Guelph. Together they enjoyed raising their family and their many years of travels across Canada and to Mexico, Florida, Jamaica, Venezuela, Curacao and Ecuador. Like many Nonnas, she was an incredible cook, and nothing made her happier than preparing a meal for her family and friends.
Giustina was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church since 1968 and will be dearly missed by the Spiritan Charismatic Prayer Group, where she formed many lasting friendships. Bless you all.
The family would like to thank the team from Bayshore Palliative group, and from Hospice Wellington, and a very special thank you to her PSW’s from Closing the Gap & Paramed, especially Sharoon, Roy, Kathy, Ghita, Alma, Jim & Julie. We wish to acknowledge and thank Shim Torres for all her help with our mother.
According to her wishes, there will be no visitation, and a funeral mass will be held on Friday June 12, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 45 Victoria Road North at 10:30 a.m.
In memory of Giustina and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Wellington or St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church.
