John MacLean Sansom

John MacLean Sansom, 69 years of age, of Milton, Ontario, passed away on March 14th, 2023, at Guelph General Hospital. He was born on May 12th, 1953, in Etobicoke, Ontario, to Jack and Elizabeth Sansom.

He attended the University of Toronto and Queen's University where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees and joined the Association of Engineering Geologists. He later worked as a Logistics Engineer for the majority of his career. He was known for his intelligence and way with words, his meticulous attention to detail, quick and subtle wit, exceptional kindness, and unwavering sweet demeanor.

John was a cherished husband to Margo for nearly 50 years and father to his three daughters, Courtney (David), Holly (Mark), and Meaghan (Trevor). He was also affectionately known as "Pops" to his two beloved grandsons, Jack and Benjamin.

He is survived by his beloved siblings Nancy (Mark), Paul (Heather), and Scott (Jackie).

John was loved by all that had the privilege to know him and will be deeply missed by his extended family and closest friends.

Rest in peace, John Sansom. Your memory will live on in the hearts of those whose lives you've blessed. His sense of family and humour will remain eternal.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, ON. A Visitation for John will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 3:00 PM.
