It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Charles Thomson on Monday, April 24, 2023 at St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener. Loving husband and best friend of Pamela for 60 wonderful years. Proud father of Mark Douglas Thomson (Lynda Slater) and Scott Andrew Thomson (Angela Podmore). Treasured grandfather of Kyle, Colin, Evan (Emma Howitt), Trenton (Cheyenne Miller), Justin and devoted great-grandfather of Logan, Avery and Maverick. Cherished brother of Glenn Thomson and Judy Daniels. John is predeceased by his parents Jake and Mildred Thomson and his aunt Earline Hargrave. John will be sadly missed by his many friends and extended family members.
John was a passionate gardener and enjoyed tending to his garden. He loved the natural world and this was depicted in the many paintings that he had painted over the years.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home- Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph. Family invite friends to a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital or to St. Mary’s General Hospital would be appreciated.
