Kyle Glenn Drewery

At just 25 years young, on August 26, 2026, Kyle’s earthly journey carried him beyond the horizon. Though we can no longer walk beside him, his light continues to shine in the hearts of all who loved him.

Kyle was the cherished son of Glenn Drewery and Karen Beck, and the beloved big brother and best friend of Lindsay Drewery, whose special bond far surpasses the newfound space between them.

He was the precious grandson of Patrick & the late Marlene Beck (2019), and Glenn & Carol Drewery. Kyle was a courageous nephew to John (Simone) Drewery, Robin (Jack) Hanian, Sarah Drewery, Jennifer (Ron) Titus, Justin Beck, and a brave and much-loved cousin to Abby, Will, Jaxon, Clara, and Kaitlyn. He will also be deeply missed by his extended family and many friends who were blessed to share a part of his life. Kyle's beloved dog: Milo, and his cats: Tom, Shadow, Kitty, and Ash were an important part of his world and will miss him dearly.

Kyle lived with Muscular Dystrophy, facing the challenges it brought with extraordinary courage, perseverance, and a positive spirit. Rather than allowing the difficulties he faced define him, he always found ways to enjoy life, to laugh, and to make the most of every day, all while positively impacting everyone around him. Kyle had many passions that brought him happiness: a special love for Disney World, building and collecting LEGO sets, and getting lost in the world of gaming.

What those who loved Kyle will remember most about him is:

His laugh.

His quick wit.

His unique personality.

His wonderful sense of humour.

His ability to make you smile when you least expected it.

Kyle has left a lasting imprint on our hearts, which makes filling his absence an impossible task for those he left behind.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Guelph Firefighters, Paramedics, and the doctors and nurses at Guelph General Hospital for their patience, care, and compassion in making Kyle comfortable in his final days. A special thank you goes to the nurses and PSWs from Paramed and CarePartners for the incredible home care, kindness, and support they provided to Kyle and our family. We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Dean, Dr. Hood, and the medical team in Hamilton for their exceptional care and dedication to Kyle throughout the years.

Cremation has taken place and, in keeping with the family’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Muscular Dystrophy Canada or the Guelph Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
