Lawrence Alexander Aitcheson

Born on April 14, 1964, Lawrence was a resident of Guelph, Ontario. Lawrence will be remembered as a loving partner to Lisa, and a devoted father to his sons, Alex and Ben. He is also lovingly remembered by his siblings, Jo-Anne, Christine, Tracy, Cathy, and Rob, as well as by his many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and cousins. Well loved by Lisa's family, Larry, Ann, Alan, Nicole and Kelli. Lawrence was predeceased by his father, Alex; his mother, Sheila; his stepfather, Bob; his grandfather, Roy; and his grandmother, Helen.

A steady presence with a quick mind, Lawrence carried himself with the kind of wisdom that didn’t need to announce itself. He was honest and hardworking, patient when it mattered most, and compassionate in ways that made others feel seen and valued. He had a sharp, clever sense of humour—often snarky in the way that made people laugh hardest—and he had a gift for making a room feel lighter simply by being in it.

Lawrence had a great love of life and especially loved playing sports. Golfing, lawn darts, cards, and the games he followed with enthusiasm—baseball, hockey, and football—were part of the rhythm of his days and the joy he shared with others. Social by nature, he was known as a joker who delighted in pranks and good-natured fun. He was also a great cook, generous with both his time and what he could offer, and he had a way of making people feel welcomed and loved.

The family extends sincere gratitude to the Guelph paramedics, Guelph Police, and the Guelph General Hospital ER staff for their care and support.
