

She passed away peacefully at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, ON, on Monday evening, October 27th, 2025, surrounded by her family and the Blue Jays game!
She is predeceased by her loving husband of 41years, Lyle Peverley, her parents, Ruby and Dick Fraser; her deceased siblings, Terry Fraser (Margaret Ellen, deceased), Barbara Gordon (Dalton, deceased), Elizabeth Wall, Hugh Fraser (Joyce, surviving). Nancy is survived by her children, Sarah Peverley (Doug Kemmer), Richard Peverley (Nathalie); her Grandchildren, Isabelle, Frederik, and Elena Peverley; her sister, Cathy Marmino (Jim deceased); her sister-in-law, Corinne and brother-in-law, Ed Hyatt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
One of Nancy’s accomplishments was to attain her Private Pilot’s License in North Bay, ON. Nancy was educated in North Bay and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy. She worked for Natural Resources (a.k.a Lands and Forests) North Bay, Queens University and for the Jesuits of Guelph at Loyola House. Lyle’s position with Brewers Retail gave Nancy and Lyle the opportunity to live happily in North Bay, Bracebridge, Kingston, Brockville, Ottawa, Belleville and Guelph. They retired in North Bay, ON, on Trout Lake, for several years before moving back to Guelph.
Nancy loved travelling to Britain, Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Croatia and Israel. Nancy especially loved being on One Mile Bay, North Bay, camping (Fav. Bon Echo Prov. Park) and her joy was “Sunsets”. She travelled with Lyle, Corinne, friends and with Sarah and Doug.
Nancy was a devoted Catholic her entire life. She was always active in her parishes. Lyle and Nancy were very active in aiding Hope Awaits in North Bay, ON and with L’Arche, where Nancy was President for a number of years. At the beautiful Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, Guelph, ON she volunteered many hours giving church tours and also volunteered at the church store. Nancy was also a leader of the prayer group which she ran from her home and which she considered to be her mission. She was on the Board of St. Vincent de Paul, a member of CLC, a former member of CWL and a companion of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
Nancy is remembered especially by her nieces and nephews as a loving and kind Aunt. She was always interested and communicated this to her last days.
Nancy battled for the last five months with Strength and Courage and now she is at Peace with her loved ones.
“I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith. From now on a merited crown awaits me”. - 2 Timothy 4:7
Visitation at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel. 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, Ontario. Friday, November 14, 1-3pm & 5-7pm. Funeral Mass at Church of Our Lady Immaculate, Guelph, Ontario. Saturday, November 15, 11 AM. Reception immediately following mass at The Delta Hotel Guelph Conference Centre, The Griffin room, 50 Stone Rd., West, Guelph.
