

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Navalpreet Kaur Gill, who left this world on June 8, 2025, at the age of 37. Navalpreet, lovingly known as Naval, was a shining light in the lives of her family and friends. Her love, kindness, and unwavering support touched the hearts of everyone she encountered.
Navalpreet was the devoted wife of Richard Travis Barber and the proud and loving mother to her two sons, Richard Colton Gill-Barber and Jayden Wayne Gill-Barber. Her boys were her pride and joy, and her love for them was immeasurable—she gave them all of her heart, her strength, and her guidance.
She was born to Sukhchain Singh Gill and Manjit Kaur Gill on January 19, 1988. Raised in a close-knit and loving family, she cherished the bond she shared with her siblings: Palwinder Singh Brar (wife Bal Preet Kaur Gill and their sons Gur Kirat Singh Gill and Aniket Singh Gill), her sister Raman Chahal (husband Harnek Singh Chahal, and their children Mehtab Singh Chahal and Kripa Kaur Chahal), and sister Kaval Gill (husband Jaskaran Singh Brarand their children Avir Singh Brar and Sadaa Kaur Brar).
Navalpreet was also deeply loved by her extended family, including her father-in-law (Dad)Richard Wayne Barber, mother-in-law (Mom)Leanne Marie Barber, sister-in-law Kelli Anne Marie Groulx (husband Chris Stewart Groulx, and their sons Ben and Leo Groulx), and her beloved grandmother-in-law Anne Marie Bennett.
A woman of immense compassion, strength, and grace, Naval was a pillar of support and love to all who knew her. Whether through her gentle words, her radiant smile, or her comforting presence, she made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. Her legacy will live on in the love she gave, the lessons she imparted, and the memories she leaves behind.
Navalpreet’s journey through life was marked by her unwavering faith, dedication to family, and a joy for life that was contagious. She brought warmth and light into the lives of everyone she touched, and her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Navalpreet will be held on June 21, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Sons Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, located at 1099 Gordon Street. All are invited to join in celebrating her incredible life.

With all of your help and hard work you gave me an extra 4 years with her and made sure she was as comfortable as could be, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
