It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frieda Lofts on May 23, 2024, age 89, at Hospice Wellington in Guelph. Loving mother to Dr. Stephen Lofts and his wife Agnieszka Chuchrowska; dear friend of Corinne Hyatt and her husband Edward, as well as Kevin Hyatt and his wife Rozina, and dear "grandmother" to Kathryn Hyatt and John Ryan Pineda. Predeceased by her mother Marjory Hazel Murcar. Will be missed by all friends and extended family.
Frieda was a teacher with the Toronto District School Board for over thirty years, beginning at Jesse Ketchum Elementary School, then Bickford Park HS, Central Commerce, consultant at the Board in business Education, Department Head at West Toronto SS, Brockton HS and Humberside Cl. Frieda loved traveling, the theatre, TSO pops concerts, reading, and spending time with her adopted family, the Hyatt's.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert Macintyre & Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on June 1st, 2024, from 12:00 - 1:00 pm with a Memorial service immediately following at 1 pm. Reception to follow service.
