Born on July 3, 1949, in Amritsar, Punjab, India, Subhash later made Canada his home, where he built a life filled with love, purpose, and resilience. He was the devoted husband of Renu Arora, cherished father to Anika Patricio (Mark) and Monish Arora (Tanya Lalvani), and proud grandfather to Mila, Remi, and Camdan.
Subhash worked at Imperial Tobacco for over 25 years, where he was known for his strong work ethic and warmth. Beyond his professional life, he was a generous supporter of causes close to his heart, including cancer research and St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
A passionate marathon runner, Subhash completed races in cities around the world—Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Tokyo, Mumbai, and many more. He found joy in fitness, hiking, cooking, traveling, and never turned down a cup of strong, hot coffee.
Subhash leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and adventure. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Funeral Service for Subhash will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St., Guelph). Following the service will be a reception at Guelph Sikh Society (410 Clair Rd E. Guelph) from 12:45 PM to 2:45 PM where Tea and Langar will be served.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Subhash’s memory may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital to support cancer research.
