He was the best friend and beloved partner of Kathie for almost 20 years. A loving father to Mackenzie (Scott) and devoted bonus father to Kalina (Riley), Wayne welcomed Kalina's children, Kinsley, Harlynn and Hayes into his heart and treated them as his own grandchildren.
Wayne was the cherished son of Theresa, truly the best son a mother could ask for, and was predeceased by his father, Frank. He was the dear brother of Caroline. He will be fondly remembered by his niece, Elisha (Jason), and their children, Aurora, Ethan, and Noah; his nephew, Christopher, and his daughter, Delilah; and by his best friend and brother-in-law, Mike, who will miss him dearly. He will also be missed by his brother-in-law Mark (Donna).
Known for his kindness, gentle nature, and strong work ethic, Wayne found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved the outdoors, golfing, gardening, and spending time around the BBQ—both tending the grill and enjoying the meal with family and friends.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Kathie's sister, Ellen, for her incredible support, care, and compassion. Wayne's warmth, loyalty, and love of family will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to have known him.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 22 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph. A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, June 23 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home.
