

The peaceful passing of Agatha (Bubbles) Godwin occurred December 17, 2021 at Maple Stone Enhance Care, Halifax. Agatha was born October 7th, 1926, She was preceded by her late husband of 66 years, Edwin Godwin, two sisters Kaye Hatt, Aileen Levowitz, brothers, Murry Hatt, Earl Jr. Hatt and Laurie.
A wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Agatha was born in Eastern Passage, she was one of six kids. In June 1945 she went to work for Imperial Oil where she met the love of her life Edwin Godwin and were happily married for 66 years.
Agatha was also an avid curler, bridge player, world traveller and a sorority sister with Beta Sigma Phi for over 70 years.
Agatha is survived by her six children, Karen (David) Harrison New Minas, Richard (Brenda) Godwin Hatchet Lake, Carla (John) Surette Yarmouth, David (Shelly) Godwin Berwick, Jackie (Ronald) Ryckman Halifax, Brian (Kelly) Godwin Prospect, Grandchildren Terrie Godwin, Erin Boucher, Omri and Niv Harrison, Alicia and Katrina Godwin, Bradley and Brandon Ryckman, great grandchildren, Spencer and Jensyn Richardson, Paige Boucher, Cohen Johnson, Bella and Charlotte Ryckman.
The family would like to thank all the staff of Maple Stone Enhanced Care for the kindness and love extended to our mother and grandmother over the past four years. We did not realize the impact that our mother had on the staff until this past week. Thanks to each and everyone of you for your visits, sharing your stories of mom, and the love and kindness you showed to all the family during our difficult time.
