

It is with very heavy hearts that the family of Albin Peters announces his passing on March 18, 2015 surrounded by the love and support of his family by his side, at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII.
Born in Palmer Road, P.E.I., 1938, was the son of the late Arthur Peters and the late Regena (Bernard) Peters.
He was a truck driver for most of his life, a great lover of fiddle music, country and western movies and homing pigeons. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Survived by his wife, Julie, sons, David (Trudy) Hammonds Plains, Greg (Joann), Dartmouth, Tim and Jeff, Vancouver. Step-sons, David (Jodi) Hanrahan, Calgary, Danny (Sacha) Hanrahan, Lower Sackville. Brothers, Stan (Rita) Ottawa, Fred (Cheryl), Alphonse (Phyllis), Windsor, Gordie (Lynn), Hammonds Plains. Sister, Vickie (Eric) Tanner, Beaverbank. Grandchildren, Josh and Meagan. Step-grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Hayley, Chase, Devyn and Austin. Many special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a special friend, Muriel Stoddard.
Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Regena Peters; sisters, Bena, Eileen, and his first wife, Mary Perry.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, NS, April 1st from 12 - 2 pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. John Vianney, April 1st at 3 pm, 4 Beaverbank Road, Lower Sackville, NS. Father Marc Syrenne officiating. Burial at a later date at Immaculate Conception Parish, Palmer Road, P.E.I. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Dalhousie University for research of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. (CJD) or a charity of your choice.
