It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, wife and friend Anna.
Predeceased by step son Martial Lacasse, Grandson Brandon Adams and the love of her life Jacques (Jack) Lacasse.
She leaves behind 6 wonderful children Nicole (Kevin), Danielle, Paul (Karen) Stewart (Lynn) Steve (Tammy) and Lynette. 9 grandchildren Kody, Kristopher, Dawn, Billy, Heather, Logan, Joel, Dylan and Hayden.
Anna was a woman of warmth, kindness, and unwavering love. She brought light into the lives of everyone who knew her and will be remembered for her generous spirit, gentle heart, and the joy she found in time spent with family and friends. Also known for keeping the best house on the block, she took pride in her home and it was ready for hosting coffee with friends, amazing dinners or just a pop in for a glass of wine.
She leaves behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and lasting connections with all who had the privilege of knowing her. Each person she met held a special place in her heart. Anna began making connections at a very young age in Waverley, Nova Scotia. She raised her family just down the road in Windsor Junction and in the early 80's made a brave move to British Columbia with the love of her life Jack. Together they built a life, creating many homes across the province making friends that became family in every community they chose to call home. When it was time to retire, they came back to Nova Scotia, close to family and long-time friends. As in British Columbia they moved many times, trying to find the forever spot; it did not matter where they lived, their forever spot was with each other. It has been a long wait for Anna, she is now reunited with Jacques, resting peacefully and, as we like to imagine, laying in the sun—just as she would have loved.
Our family is deeply grateful for the support, love, and compassion shown to Anna throughout her life.
Thank you to the staff of White Hills Long Term Care Centre for the care you gave her in her final years, and a special thanks to her sisters, Noreen and Brenda, for the hours they spent with Anna and us in her final days was priceless.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Memorial service will be held Friday May 1st, 2026 at 10 am in J.A. Snow funeral home 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
Family flowers only. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
