Anne "Nancy" Beatrice Connolly

Born in Halifax on March 10, 1945 to Eric and Marion (Moody) Tizard. She married David Connolly on November 7, 1964 and had two sons, Scott of Windsor, Nova Scotia and Chris of Toronto, Ontario.

She is survived by her husband and sons, her sister, Barbara Tizard (Halifax), and 9 grandchildren.

Anne, who was commonly known by the name, Nancy, was a Canadian Armed Forces service member’s wife, living in France, Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta during her husband’s service, and then in various locations between Alberta, Ontario and Nova Scotia thereafter and during the couple’s retirement.

She worked as a volunteer in schools, as an office worker and as a homemaker. Anne will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by her family and others, for her gentleness, modesty and understanding.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, August 5th at Mt. Olivet Cemetery (columbaria), Mumford Road, Halifax.
